Job Summary:
The Futurum Group, a prominent technology analyst firm, is hiring a seasoned Production Manager to manage the production workflow process for research and editorial projects in coordination with research management and project management. Copy-edit, proofread, and handle web content management for Futurum research and editorial deliverables. Â
The Production Manager will report to the Chief Research officer and is responsible for copy-editing and proofreading and copy-editing content, publishing content, and contributing to the successful, on-time delivery of syndicated research production as well as overseeing the editorial and production output for the company. The Production Manager will also be essential in supporting the business on the continuing evolution and refinement of E&P related business/operational processes to optimize quality, timeliness, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of research execution and delivery.
Qualified candidates should possess advanced editorial skills with strong levels of output, strong project management skills, a track record in the design and implementation of editorial & production processes, experience with content management systems and analytics tools. They will also have experience in the technology market intelligence business including knowledge of research processes and methodologies, and are comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Individuals looking to take on this role should also possess knowledge of online publishing methods as well as the ability to grasp technical topics and make them understandable to others.Â
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Copy-edit and proofread Futurum content, including articles, reports, PowerPoint documents, and Excel spreadsheets, to ensure it is consistent, accurate, and accessible to a global client base.
- Copy-edit, proofread, and check all data points on quantitative models, spreadsheets, reports, and data tools, before uploading content to relevant channels.
- Publish content using an online content management system.
- Contribute to successful, on-time delivery of syndicated research projects across sectors; and successful, on-time execution of research projects that are essential components of consulting engagements.
- Assist project managers in overseeing the editorial & production (E&P) queue, ensuring that content is delivered in a timely manner and that related KPIs are being met. Work alongside Chief Research Officer to create strategies and schedules for special projects.
- Serve as the keeper of content type templates and company style guide. Address related issues to develop consistency across Futurum content portfolio.
- Responsible for training of analysts and editors on writing skills, how to use content-type specific templates, and company style guide.
- Work closely with research colleagues from across the business, including marketing, sales, and customer success, to ensure content is delivered on time and to high quality.
- Support the business on the continuing evolution and refinement of E&P related business/operational processes to optimize quality, timeliness, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of research execution and delivery. Continuous measurement of key KPIs in this area.
- Development and review of E&P workflow documentation and operational plans.
- Create consistency across content templates and style guide, including training material.

The Senior Manager will report to the VP of Communications and will collaborate with various leaders across the company.
