Dell APEX Services – Product Review

APEX is Dell Technologies’ portfolio of cloud and as-a-Service offerings. Under the APEX brand, Dell delivers its IT infrastructure that is owned and managed by Dell or customers. Dell breaks these services down into APEX Data Storage, APEX Private Cloud, APEX Hybrid Cloud, APEX Backup Services, APEX Cyber Recovery Service and APEX Cloud Services with VMware Cloud. These services are collectively known as APEX Cloud Services.

APEX began as a storage-as-a-service program, but has expanded into a way to implement Dell’s hybrid and multicloud vision. It has also moved beyond storage, with new services including APEX Compute and APEX PC-as-a-Service that allow organizations to centrally manage bare metal compute and PC resources. Dell has stated its intention to eventually offer its entire infrastructure portfolio via.

Before launching APEX, Dell offered flexible consumption options that were alternatives to leasing and allowed customers to specify the infrastructure required, consuming in a pay-per-use model. These are now included within the APEX portfolio, with APEX Flex on Demand and Data Center Utility comprising the APEX Custom Solutions category.
