VAST Data Announces New Partnership with Genesis Cloud

Analyst Take: VAST Data announced a new partnership with Genesis Cloud—a cloud infrastructure provider focused on GPU and accelerator-based cloud services. The partnership provides the VAST Data Platform as a data layer to complement Genesis Cloud’s accelerated compute capabilities, specifically for data-intensive AI workloads.

This deal with Genesis Cloud is the latest in a trend of new cloud partnerships for VAST. The new partnership follows similar deals with Coreweave, Core42, and Lambda, all within the past year. The sudden expansion into such cloud providers shows a clear strategy from VAST. All four cloud providers are specialized around accelerated cloud computing, with a focus on AI. Meanwhile, VAST has been pushing its capabilities beyond storage into a full-fledged data platform for AI.

As new AI applications are developed, GPU cloud providers, such as Genesis Cloud, are likely to be in high demand from organizations struggling to meet the demanding infrastructure requirements of AI. The inclusion of VAST Data as the data layer supporting these AI cloud implementations, both for Genesis Cloud and the three previous partnerships, speaks highly of VAST’s progress in achieving its AI data platform mission. Genesis Cloud specifically highlighted several key capabilities of VAST Data that made it a suitable choice for its GPU cloud including multitenancy capabilities, zero trust security, simplified data management, ease of deployment, and efficient GPU utilization.

Overall, the partnership provides an additional example showcasing VAST as a leading data platform solution for AI and other accelerated workloads. Meanwhile, it boosts Genesis Cloud by providing it with a highly capable data platform that can be leveraged to offer customers powerful AI data services.
