The News: Freshworks (NASDAQ: FRSH) reported Q3 FY 2026 revenue of $245.4 million, up 14% year-on-year (YoY), compared with Wall Street consensus of $244.5 million. Employee experience (EX) annual recurring revenue (ARR) reached $588 million, up 22% YoY on both reported and constant currency (cc) bases. Customer experience (CX) ARR reached $404 million, up 4% YoY on both bases. Non-GAAP operating income increased 61.9% YoY to $73.2 million, while non-GAAP operating margin increased to 29.8% from 21.0% in Q3 FY 2025. Non-GAAP net income increased 25.9% YoY to $58.88 million. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share increased to $0.22 from $0.16 in Q3 FY 2025.
“Our momentum upmarket accelerated, with new multi-product EX deals increasing over 35% and partners participating in more than half of our new business. Customers want a unified platform and single data model for service operations, and they are increasingly choosing Freshworks,” said Dennis Woodside, CEO and president of Freshworks.
Freshworks Q3 FY 2026: Multi-Product Deals Expand as EX Growth Moderates
Analyst Take: Freshworks’ enterprise strategy increasingly depends on selling connected service operations capabilities rather than individual support tools. The combination of asset visibility, incident response, and AI gives buyers a broader reason to consolidate spending on Freshservice. Larger contracts strengthen that proposition, but they also introduce more decision-makers and longer sales cycles.
Multi-Product Adoption Expands Enterprise Service Operations
New multi-product EX deals increased more than 35% YoY, while their corresponding ARR grew more than 50%, indicating that product breadth is increasing initial contract value. IT asset management (ITAM) appeared in two-thirds of the 50 largest new EX deals, and cloud-based Freshservice ITAM added more than 400 customers since its Q2 FY 2026 launch. Partners participated in 53% of new business and sourced 35% of new deals, giving Freshworks access to implementation expertise as customer environments become more complex. The October acquisitions of Torii and Robusta extend the proposition into software and AI spending visibility and incident investigation, respectively, complementing FireHydrant’s incident management capabilities. Integration remains consequential because 70% of roughly 20,000 Freshservice customers use only one EX product, leaving substantial cross-selling potential that the existing sales motion has yet to fully capture. Freshworks’ enterprise position will depend on turning that installed base into repeatable expansion without making adoption more difficult.
Freddy AI Connects Usage With Expansion
EX customers purchasing AI had net dollar retention above 115%, providing evidence that AI adoption correlates with greater account expansion, although the comparison doesn’t establish causation. Active Freddy Copilot agents doubled YoY, while Freshworks reported that teams using Copilot handled 50% more tickets. Those usage measures give service leaders a clearer basis for evaluating productivity than feature availability alone. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Gateway connects Freshservice data with external AI tools and supports governed actions across systems, positioning Freshworks to participate in workflows beyond its own interface. Customers such as Tower Federal Credit Union paired Copilot with asset discovery, illustrating how service automation and operational context can support the same purchasing decision. Sustained AI monetization requires customers to keep expanding paid usage as automation changes the amount of human service work they need.
CX Consolidation Supports Profitable Customer Engagement
Freshworks moved CX sales and support activity to India and dedicated its field sales teams to EX, aligning distribution costs with the different growth profiles of the two businesses. Freshdesk Omni supports that separation by consolidating customer interactions and product development around a single platform rather than maintaining fragmented service experiences. New-business win rates for Omni were 15% higher than for the legacy platform, with higher ARR per customer, suggesting that product consolidation can improve commercial outcomes alongside cost efficiency. CX AI agent sessions increased more than threefold YoY, and conversations increased more than fourfold, while CX AI Agent Studio added over $2.5 million in new ARR during the quarter. The number of customers purchasing session packs rose more than 50% sequentially, demonstrating a paid consumption mechanism as usage expands. For CX, the strategic test is whether better product conversion and AI consumption can sustain customer investment while the business operates with a lower-cost sales model.
Guidance and Final Thoughts
Freshworks guided Q4 FY 2026 revenue to $253.5 million to $254.5 million, representing approximately 14% YoY growth, slightly above Wall Street consensus of $253.2 million, with non-GAAP operating income of $68 million to $70 million and diluted EPS of approximately $0.21. The company narrowed its FY 2026 revenue outlook to $965 million to $966 million from $963.5 million to $966.5 million, increasing the midpoint by just $0.5 million, while raising non-GAAP operating income guidance to $238 million to $240 million from $222 million to $228 million. FY 2026 diluted EPS is expected to reach approximately $0.71. The Q4 outlook includes approximately $1.5 million in revenue from Torii and Robusta, while about $2 million of Device42 term license revenue previously expected in Q4 is now assumed to be recognized ratably. Year-end EX ARR is expected to exceed $625 million, including $8 million to $10 million from the acquisitions.
Freshworks’ outlook shows profitability improving faster than revenue growth, which slowed from 16% in Q2 FY 2026 to 14% this quarter, making sustained enterprise expansion the next measure of execution. Larger multi-product EX contracts and growing Freddy AI usage provide opportunities to increase customer spending, but approximately 70% of Freshservice customers still use only one EX product, indicating that cross-selling remains underdeveloped. The integration of Torii, Robusta, and FireHydrant could strengthen the platform’s value proposition, although longer enterprise sales cycles and integration requirements may delay revenue conversion. Meanwhile, the lower-cost CX operating model supports margins but must preserve customer acquisition and retention as AI consumption expands. If Freshworks can translate its broader portfolio into higher existing-customer spending without materially increasing sales complexity, then revenue growth could become a stronger contributor to earnings expansion rather than relying predominantly on restructuring benefits.
