The News: Ingram Micro (NYSE: INGM) reported Q3 FY 2026 revenue of $15.22 billion, up 20.8% year over year (YoY). North America revenue reached $5.8 billion, up 31.5% YoY, while Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) revenue totaled $3.9 billion, up 7.3% YoY. Asia-Pacific revenue reached $4.3 billion, up 22.3% YoY, and Latin America revenue totaled $1.1 billion, up 16.7% YoY. Adjusted operating income increased 24.9% YoY to $322 million, with adjusted operating margin rising 7 basis points YoY to 2.12%. Non-GAAP net income increased 24.8% YoY to $210.6 million. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) increased 26.4% YoY to $0.91.

“The investments we are making in our platform, data and AI are enabling us to deepen customer engagement, improve productivity and increasingly turn intelligence into action,” said Paul Bay, Ingram Micro’s chief executive officer.

Ingram Micro Q3 FY 2026: AI Infrastructure and Cloud Drive Growth

Analyst Take: Ingram Micro is extending its distribution model into customer workflows, where transaction data can support procurement, pricing, and demand generation. Xvantage’s expanding use provides evidence of deeper engagement, although adoption metrics alone don’t establish how much incremental demand the platform creates. Large artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure transactions offer another growth path, but their economics depend on low servicing costs and disciplined execution rather than high gross margins. Meanwhile, higher PC selling prices offset a low-double-digit decline in unit volumes, showing why endpoint revenue growth should not be read as equivalent growth in deployment activity.

Xvantage Extends Procurement Into Agent Workflows

Xvantage’s expansion into agent-based ordering could make Ingram Micro a more embedded procurement partner for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), where its platform adoption is particularly active. Across 22 platform countries, average revenue per customer increased 39% YoY, while self-service represented nearly 70% of orders, up more than 10 percentage points YoY. Email-to-order volume increased 33% YoY and processed approximately $1.6 billion in revenue, providing a practical example of automation reaching existing purchasing habits. Ordering through Model Context Protocol (MCP) launched in 12 countries, and Ingram Micro reported that customers actively using MCP grew their business with it at nearly four times the rate of customers not integrated with its platform, a comparison that does not establish causation. Its Intelligent Digital Assistant (IDA) also reached 10% of global revenue, while pricing and bundling initiatives began showing early gross-margin improvements in targeted North American activities late in the quarter. The competitive advantage will depend on converting those embedded workflows into repeat purchases and better commercial decisions, beyond simply moving orders online.

AI Infrastructure Requires Different Distribution Economics

AI infrastructure is changing the composition of Ingram Micro’s enterprise business, with GPU and AI infrastructure sales exceeding $1.8 billion, up nearly 160% YoY. Advanced Solutions still delivered double-digit growth excluding those transactions, supported by server demand and networking upgrades tied to higher bandwidth, Wi-Fi 7, and campus modernization. Large GPU transactions carry lower gross margins but require relatively little servicing, making fulfillment efficiency and vendor terms central to their economic value. Excluding those deals, gross margin was 7.06%, compared with 7.10% a year earlier, indicating that much of the reported margin compression reflected product mix. Their contribution also depends on shipment timing and product availability, since large orders can close unevenly even when the underlying pipeline remains healthy. Vendors should therefore assess Ingram Micro’s AI distribution capabilities through delivery execution and associated solution sales, rather than treating hardware volume alone as evidence of a richer business mix.

Cloud and Services Broaden Partner Revenue Opportunities

Ingram Micro’s services strategy addresses a practical channel constraint: partners may own customer relationships without having the technical resources to deliver AI projects independently. Cloud-based Solutions revenue increased 31% YoY, and cloud contributed a share of gross profit well into the teens, giving the category greater strategic weight than its revenue contribution alone would imply. The company is developing services around AI consumption and deployment, including custom agents for SMB customers and support for governance, adoption, and ongoing operations. Those capabilities could help partners pursue projects without first building an entire AI practice, although the quarter did not quantify the revenue attached to these services. Lifecycle Services adds another route to customer spending, with 35% YoY growth and a return to supply chain services using existing infrastructure capacity rather than additional warehouse space.

Guidance and Final Thoughts

Ingram Micro exceeded the upper end of its Q3 FY 2026 guidance across all financial metrics and expects Q4 FY 2026 revenue of $17.5 billion to $17.9 billion, representing 17.6% to 20.3% YoY growth, above Wall Street consensus of $15.73 billion. The company forecasts gross profit of $1.075 billion to $1.115 billion and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $1.05 to $1.15. However, the outlook includes a 14-week quarter versus 13 weeks a year earlier and assumes a 2% to 3% positive net impact from supply constraints, making reported revenue growth an imperfect measure of underlying demand. Management also reaffirmed its FY 2026–FY 2029 framework, targeting revenue compound annual growth of approximately 4% to 6% and gross profit growth of approximately 5% to 7%, reflecting expectations for a gradual improvement in business mix and operating productivity.

Ingram Micro’s next growth phase depends on translating its distribution scale and growing platform engagement into more profitable, recurring customer relationships. Xvantage’s automated procurement capabilities could strengthen customer retention and reduce transaction costs, while cloud and lifecycle services offer opportunities to capture spending beyond hardware fulfillment. However, large AI infrastructure transactions introduce revenue volatility and dilute reported gross margins, making service attachment and fulfillment efficiency more useful measures of business quality than hardware sales alone. The company must also demonstrate that AI-related services can generate meaningful incremental revenue rather than simply support existing product transactions. If Ingram Micro can convert automated purchasing activity into repeatable services demand while maintaining cost discipline across large infrastructure deals, its platform strategy could support stronger gross profit growth without requiring a comparable acceleration in hardware volumes.
