Analyst Take: With hybrid work a reality in today’s workplace, investing in technologies designed to help employees multitask, and accomplish tasks more efficiently and seamlessly no matter where work happens is the name of the game. That’s where Webex Meetings on iPad can play a significant role.

Webex Meetings for iPad already supports picture-in-picture mode minimizing video streams from meetings to a small window for improved multitasking. Webex recently announced the addition of two new features to Webex Meetings for iPad — Multiple Windows and Stage Manager, designed to make multitasking seamless.

Webex Meetings on iPad Supports Multiple Windows

Webex Meetings on iPad now supports Multiple Windows, which lets meeting participants focus on shared documents or a presentation while continuing to be part of a meeting, and sharing feedback in the chat. By popping out shared content and in-meeting chat into a second window, both can be resized for the best view for the attendee. Multiple windows make it easier to focus on what’s important in the meeting while continuing to engage with team members simultaneously. This is pretty sweet, allowing users the ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks, while also collaborating live.

Webex Meetings on Ipad: Stage Manager Support

Webex Meetings on iPad has also added Stage Manager support for those with a compatible iPad running iPadOS 16 or newer. With Stage Manager, attendees are able to show multiple apps in adjustable windows and will also support the use of external monitors. iPad users will be able to have up to eight apps open and running at the same time when connected to an external display. Stage Manager enables attendees to shift any open Webex Meetings on iPad between displays, resize open windows, and treat Webex Meetings just like any Stage Manager-compatible app. This is news I’m thinking people are going to be excited about.

That’s why I’m excited to see Webex adding support for Multiple Windows and Stage Manager in Webex Meetings for iPad, and I think this will be welcome news for Webex users across the board.
