The News: Employee success platform company Quantum Workplace has acquired employee engagement and leadership training provider Talent Keepers, expanding its solution set and contributing to its goal of supporting companies in building a culture of employee success. More information on this acquisition can be found in this press release on the Quantum Workplace website.
Quantum Workplace Acquires Talent Keepers
Analyst Take: Quantum Workplace is a provider of employee experience (EX) solutions spanning engagement (including lifecycle, pulse, and regular engagement surveys) as well as performance (including recognition, feedback, talent reviews, succession planning, goals, and one-on-ones). The company has been adding to its solution set, layering in AI for efficiencies and has a robust feature roadmap.
Founded in 2000, Talent Keepers also has employee engagement offerings including a variety of employee survey types, onboarding tools, and retention solutions. The company has administered millions of surveys for companies of all sizes. Talent Keepers also has leadership-focused solutions that encompass both assessment and training. Solutions include developmental and motivational tools, online training courses and executive coaching.
The “skills gap” has been talked about a lot about this year. It is real and applies to all employee types. People want to be supported in building or deepening skill sets that they can use for personal and career development. It can be a source of empowerment but also a signal that their employer is invested in their growth as a person and as a valued part of the company. Managers and leaders have also been under pressure as the pace of change in implementing internal technologies, supporting hybrid or flexible work models, and trying to meet the rising expectations people have of their employer. It will be interesting to see how the science behind Talent Keepers leadership training may be leveraged by Quantum Workplace.
Quantum Workplace Poised for Growth
I was able to speak with Luke Stritt, Director of Business Development at Quantum Workplace, about the acquisition, how it complements the company’s solution set and plans for growth.
“Quantum Workplace has had a strong year organically and we wanted to accelerate our growth. This acquisition is a great cultural fit for us and allows us to onboard some great talent in addition to some great customers,” said Stritt.
Stritt pointed to Talent Keeper’s strength in science-based assessment, fostered by a team of industrial-organizational psychologists. Talent Keepers also has exit and onboarding surveys, supporting the entire employee journey. Customers will have the option of continuing to use Talent Keepers solutions or to transition to Quantum Workplace’s e9 Employee Engagement Model.
Looking toward the fast approaching start of next year, Quantum Workplace is focusing on three key areas:
- Make work better for employees every day.
- Impact more work cultures.
- Investigate more opportunities for inorganic growth with companies whose purpose they align with.
“On the product front, our primary focus will be on becoming the most actionable platform on the market. Our product and research and development teams are really focused on helping our customers take in all that great survey data for fast action,” said Stritt.
The acquisition of Talent Keepers broadens Quantum Workplace’s capabilities and will accelerate the company’s planned path to growth. The combination will be able to help companies not just listen to their employees along their entire employee journey but also empower leaders to have the data needed to take action. I look forward to seeing the company’s progression in 2024.
