Netcracker Bedrocks Its Telco Generative AI Solution with AWS

Analyst Take: Netcracker Technology bolsters its GenAI Telco Solution through integration into Amazon Bedrock, enabling CSPs to serve an array of different business needs using real-time telecom business support system/operations support system (BSS/OSS) data and instructions in a secure way to create greater value throughout the business. The solution uses Netcracker’s telecom expertise in operational and business domains to foment market-ready use cases, including business to business (B2B) sales advisor, digital care assistant, digital operations technician, and service design creator, designed to deliver improved business outcomes for CSPs.

GenAI Telco Solution augments users’ requests with relevant CSP data and knowledge, enabling generative AI model accessed through Amazon Bedrock, to provide the highest quality responses while protecting sensitive data from public networks. By embedding generative AI across the telco business and accessing domain data, CSPs can increase the productivity of their workforce, broaden automation, and decrease call center costs.

As foreground, Amazon Bedrock is a fully managed service that offers a choice of high-performing foundation models (FMs) from AI companies such as AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Stability AI, and Amazon via a single API, along with a broad set of capabilities that organizations, such as CSPs, need to build generative AI applications with security, privacy, and responsible AI.

Amazon Bedrock is developed to enable organizations to experiment with and evaluate top FMs for their use cases, privately customize them with their data using techniques such as fine-tuning and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and build agents that execute tasks using the enterprise systems and data sources. As Amazon Bedrock is serverless, organizations can avoid having to manage any infrastructure, and, as a result, can securely integrate and deploy generative AI capabilities into their applications using the AWS services.

Netcracker GenAI Telco Solution: Showing Market Momentum

The Amazon Bedrock integration follows on Netcracker aligning its GenAI Telco Solution to fully leverage the power of OpenAI’s ChatGPT through Azure OpenAI Service. Similarly, the prime objective is to develop high-value use cases by swiftly cultivating valuable telecom data and knowledge. Using its vast expertise in telecom IT, Netcracker’s solution is well-suited to augment ChatGPT with real-time telecom data, context, and knowledge from the operators’ BSS/OSS solutions and data analytics platforms to improve productivity and uplift the customer experience (CX) across all domains of the telecom business.

From my view, telcos will brook no compromise in protecting their sensitive data including ensuring that no sensitive telecom data is released to public generative AI models. Vitally, Netcracker’s solution fully embeds ground-zero security to deliver the robust safeguards essential to meeting telco security requirements.

The solution’s focus on accurate and relevant results for telcos can foster the monetization of 5G, cloud, and edge investments through new 5G monetization methods, broader adoption of flexible business models, and reduced IT spend by consolidating systems and improving operational efficiency.

Key Takeaway: Netcracker GenAI Telco Solution Gains Bedrock Boost

Overall, I believe that the expanded integration of Netcracker GenAI Telco Solution with Amazon Bedrock can fulfill the unique generative AI needs of CSPs including potentially increasing productivity across the entire telco organization, especially within the customer care, sales and guidance, business operations, and network operations domains. As a result, Netcracker has the bedrock channel foundation to accelerate its market-driven use cases to ensure CSPs can further streamline their operations and business processes and improve the entire CX.
