Adobe and NVIDIA have widened their March 2026 partnership to accelerate Adobe’s creative apps, Frame.io’s cloud pipeline, and Brand Concierge. Faster agentic creation is useful, but ETR data suggests enterprises will judge Adobe on governed, brand-safe outcomes, not raw speed.

What Is Covered in This Article:

  • Adobe has optimized Photoshop, Premiere, and Substance 3D for the NVIDIA RTX Spark superchip, citing up to 2x faster AI processing, editing, color, and effects.
  • Frame.io now uses NVIDIA NVDEC, TensorRT, and CUDA in its cloud pipeline, and Brand Concierge has been optimized to run on NVIDIA Nemotron open models.
  • Futurum spending intent and AI adoption data show where Adobe stands with enterprise buyers as it pushes further into agentic creation.

The News: On October 15, 2026, Adobe and NVIDIA announced an expanded collaboration to speed agentic creation, production, and personalization across Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Substance 3D, Frame.io, and Adobe Brand Concierge. The announcement builds on the strategic partnership the two companies unveiled in March 2026, which covered next-generation Firefly models built on NVIDIA computing, Firefly Foundry custom models, and the exploration of NVIDIA agent tooling for Adobe Experience Platform.

On the desktop, Photoshop, Premiere, and Substance 3D are optimized for the NVIDIA RTX Spark superchip, which NVIDIA launched earlier in October. Adobe rebuilt Photoshop’s compositing around GPU acceleration, speeding tasks such as the Remove Tool and on-canvas effects, including Gaussian Blur and Light Leaks. Premiere’s GPU acceleration covers playback, rendering, effects, color, and AI tools such as Enhance Speech and Object Mask. In the cloud, Frame.io uses NVDEC for hardware-accelerated decoding and TensorRT with CUDA for preprocessing and embedding generation. Adobe reports early results from selected transcode and search workloads of about 5x faster embedding generation, a 4x to 5x improvement in P95 processing latency, and a search proxy about 80% smaller.

Brand Concierge, Adobe’s conversational customer experience application, has been optimized to run on NVIDIA Nemotron open models, with that version due for enterprise customers later in 2026. NVIDIA has also selected Brand Concierge to power personalized, context-aware interactions on NVIDIA.com. The companies plan to show the work at Adobe MAX, November 10 to 12.

Adobe and NVIDIA Speed Agentic Creation, but Trust Is What Enterprises Buy

Analyst Take: The headline numbers in this announcement are about speed. The more important story for enterprise buyers is that Adobe is trying to make agentic creation fast enough to run at production scale while keeping the work inside a platform that brand, legal, and IT teams already trust. Speed gets a workflow adopted; trust determines whether it is allowed to scale.

Why Speed Matters for Agentic Creation

Agentic creation changes the math on latency. When a human designer runs one Remove Tool operation, a few seconds rarely matter. When an agent generates, edits, and versions hundreds of assets for a campaign, every step compounds, and slow processing becomes a cost and throughput problem rather than an annoyance.

The Frame.io results are the most telling data points for enterprises. Faster embedding generation and lower P95 latency mean uploaded footage becomes searchable sooner, which matters when agents, not just people, need to find and reuse approved content. Adobe labels these as early results from selected workloads, so buyers should treat them as directional until they show up in production benchmarks.

Brand Concierge on Nemotron is the agentic piece with the clearest business tie-in. Running on open models tuned for NVIDIA infrastructure could lower inference costs for high-volume customer conversations. NVIDIA choosing Brand Concierge for its own site is a meaningful reference customer, although one that also has a partnership interest in the outcome.

The Value of a Trusted Platform

Performance gains are table stakes, and they will not stay exclusive. NVIDIA optimizes for many software vendors, and RTX Spark acceleration is available to Adobe’s competitors as well. What is harder to copy is the governance wrapper Adobe places around generation: Firefly models positioned as commercially safe, Firefly Foundry models tuned on a company’s own IP, and brand context carried across Experience Platform, GenStudio, and Brand Concierge.

That matters because the risk profile of agentic creation is different. An agent producing on-brand content at volume can also produce off-brand, unlicensed, or non-compliant content at volume. Enterprises that run agents inside a platform where model provenance, asset approval, and brand rules already live reduce the review burden that otherwise erases the productivity gains. In my view, this is the strongest argument Adobe has, and it is a stronger one than any 2x benchmark.

Adobe’s installed base gives it room to make that argument. In the October 2026 Futurum Technology Spending Intentions Survey (TSIS), which captures updated H2 2026 planned spend against H1 actuals, only 3% of respondents said they plan to replace Adobe, while 62% plan to hold spend flat. Adobe posted an overall Net Score of 16% (n=960), flat survey-over-survey and down 1 point year-over-year. Overall Pervasion was 39%, up 2 points from the prior survey.

The marketing side of the portfolio is where agentic personalization lands, and the data there is firmer. Adobe’s Net Score in the Marketing sector was 23% (n=345), running at 122% of the sector’s Net Score, and Marketo posted 20% (n=150). By contrast, Adobe’s Net Score in Productivity Apps was 10% (n=755), down 6 points year-over-year. That split is consistent with buyers putting incremental dollars toward marketing and content operations rather than toward individual creative seats.

What the AI Adoption Data Says About Outcomes

Futurum’s AI Product Series shows that Adobe’s AI products have not yet converted platform trust into clear perceived value. In the July 2026 survey, 15% of 304 respondents said their company is purchasing or has rolled out Adobe Firefly, 12% are evaluating or piloting it, and 41% have no plans to evaluate or purchase.

Among current Firefly customers (n=45), 47% rated its value as equivalent to its cost, 33% said value outweighs cost, and 20% said cost outweighs value. Of the Firefly evaluators (n=37), just 5% reported significant value and a likely expansion or purchase, while 30% described results as mixed. Adobe GenStudio shows a similar pattern, with 45% of evaluators (n=40) reporting mixed results. Current GenStudio customer data (n=20) is directionally similar. Please exercise caution, this is a low citation count.

There is a pricing signal here, too. Sixty percent of current Firefly customers said they pay usage-based or consumption charges on top of seat-based access. As agents push generation volumes up, consumption costs will rise with them, and value-for-cost ratings near parity leave little cushion.

This is the gap the NVIDIA work could help close. If acceleration lowers Adobe’s cost to serve, Adobe has room to price agentic workflows around outcomes, such as assets delivered, campaigns launched, or conversations resolved, rather than credits consumed. Enterprises should hold Adobe to that standard and measure results in time saved, review cycles removed, and content reuse rates, not in render times.

What to Watch:

  • Whether Adobe uses its lower cost-to-serve to introduce outcome-based or bundled pricing for agentic workflows at Adobe MAX, or keeps layering consumption credits on top of seats.
  • Whether Canva, Figma, Google, and Microsoft close the governance gap with their own commercially safe models and brand controls, which would erode trust as Adobe’s main differentiator.
  • Whether the October and January Futurum spending-intent readings show Firefly and GenStudio evaluators moving from mixed results to purchase, which would signal that platform trust is turning into measurable value.
