Cisco Partner Summit 2026 An Energized Cisco Bets on Partner-Led AI

At its 30th Partner Summit in Vancouver, Cisco launched Ecosystem Deal Registration, announced general availability of Cisco IQ for Partners, and introduced Cisco Model Foundry. The announcements show a vendor with a stable leadership team continuing to lean on its partners, who drive about 90% of its bookings, to carry AI infrastructure, security, and observability into enterprise, sovereign, and government accounts.

What Is Covered in This Article:

  • Cisco’s FY26 channel results and the state of the Cisco 360 Partner Program, as presented at Cisco Partner Summit 2026 in Vancouver.
  • The addition of Supermicro rack-scale AI systems to the Cisco Global Price List, with deal registration protection for partners.
  • New partner services tools, including partner-branded Cisco IQ support, the Cisco Builders Challenge, and Cisco Model Foundry.
  • Security and observability updates, including Live Protect, AI Defense, and Splunk AI in the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA.
  • Ecosystem Deal Registration for non-transacting partners and changes to Cisco seller compensation for cross-selling.

The Event: Cisco held its 30th Cisco Partner Summit in Vancouver on October 26 and 27, 2026. Cisco reported that global channel bookings were approximately 90% of its total bookings in FY26, that channel growth was slightly above 17%, and that Splunk grew 13% year over year in the second half of FY26.

Cisco turned on orderability for full-stack AI infrastructure, including GPU compute, and added Supermicro SKUs to the Cisco Global Price List for rack-scale AI, with Cisco standing behind integration, validation, and support. Cisco also launched Ecosystem Deal Registration, which rewards advisors, consultants, and software and hardware builders who help shape a Cisco win without transacting it, and announced partner-branded Cisco IQ support, an adoption incentive for each customer onboarded to Cisco IQ, and a $1 million Cisco Builders Challenge for managed services built on Cisco IQ.

On the second day, Cisco introduced Cisco Model Foundry, which lets partners post-train Cisco’s purpose-built models on customer data, with general availability planned for June 2027. Cisco also detailed Live Protect, AI Defense, and Splunk AI running in the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, and said it has raised seller bonus payouts for cross-selling, including Splunk.

Cisco Partner Summit 2026: An Energized Cisco Bets on Partner-Led AI

Analyst Take: Cisco arrived at its 30th Cisco Partner Summit amid new stability and strength. A stable leadership team is delivering product innovation from Silicon One through Cisco Cloud Control and Cisco IQ, while also driving GTM consistency, with partners remaining the primary route to market (at about 90% of bookings).
The Cisco 360 Partner Program, which has had a long road from conception to market activation, is now reaching a point of familiarity and comfort. That establishment matters because it lets partners plan investments around evolutionary tweaks rather than the fundamentals required when relearning an entirely new program.

AI Infrastructure Reaches Enterprise, Sovereign, and Government Buyers

AI infrastructure is driving the market, and that opportunity extends to Cisco and its partners. Futurum expects market spending on networking in AI data centers to surpass $117 billion in 2026. Part of Cisco’s opportunity is its position with the largest hyperscalers, built on Silicon One and supported by its decision to sell into that market by component, not only as complete systems.

For partners, the more relevant opportunity sits outside the hyperscalers. Partners are seeing AI infrastructure deals in enterprise inferencing, sovereign cloud, and government, where Cisco’s sovereignty framework gives partners a way to scope deployments that vary by country.

The newly formed Supermicro partnership is the next layer of this opportunity. It fills a part of the market Cisco could not compete in on its own, rack-scale AI compute, where Cisco acknowledged that margin competitiveness had held the company back.

If Cisco can apply its brand and go-to-market discipline to Supermicro systems, and partners can attach Cisco networking, security, and observability to each rack, this could be a new architecture partnership not unlike past success stories such as VCE. The question is how many partners have the skills to deliver rack-scale AI, which differs from the campus and branch work that exists in many Cisco practices.

Security and Observability Underpin Secure AI Infrastructure

Security and observability will be critical to establishing a secure AI infrastructure, and Cisco is well-positioned to play a major role. Live Protect, AI Defense, and observability for AI, which covers GPU utilization, agent behavior, and token consumption, provide partners with a security offering that attaches to each AI deployment.

Splunk received focused call-outs, with some acknowledgment that Cisco moved more slowly on Splunk than it should have, and Cisco has raised seller bonuses for cross-selling that include Splunk.

That attention is warranted. Splunk underpins much of Cisco’s secure AI infrastructure story, and Cisco needs to get the technology deeper into the partner ecosystem for that story to hold up in customer deals.

Cisco Partner Summit Points Partners Toward Services

Partners will be able to build services on top of the Cisco stack at multiple levels. Cisco IQ, with partner-branded support, APIs, an MCP server, and recurring managed operations, enables partners to launch familiar infrastructure-oriented offerings based on continuous risk assessment rather than annual health checks. This is designed to be the underlying tooling that allows partners to both enhance their managed services capabilities and do so profitably.

Other innovations, such as Cisco Model Foundry, open a different frontier services path. For the most advanced partners, post-training Cisco’s models on customer data is a route to entirely new frontier AI practices. Partners can help customers design and deploy agentic-managed infrastructure, but critically, one that is hyper-personalized to their environment and token-efficient too. This will be an exciting new playground for the frontier partner.

Meanwhile, new program initiatives support the services motion. For example, Ecosystem Deal Registration rewards advisors, ISVs, and consultants who influence a deal without transacting it, which should bring more services-oriented partners into Cisco opportunities. Cisco paired Ecosystem Deal Registration with other moves that reward services. It launched two new Cisco-powered services: a security operations center built on Splunk and identity and access management built on Duo, providing managed service partners with packaged offerings to add to their catalogs. It will also extend deal registration teaming for renewals to software and services this spring and increase the land deal registration discount when partners attach Standard or Signature support.

Cisco has put the products, incentives, and program structure in place for partners to be a major part of this AI infrastructure supercycle, including helping to tackle the rising cybersecurity challenges now being faced. How many partners build the AI and security practices to match will decide how much of this shows up in FY27 results.

What to Watch:

  • Whether rack-scale AI deals with Supermicro spread across Cisco’s broader partner base, or stay concentrated among a small group of integrators with GPU deployment experience.
  • Whether Splunk’s attach rates rise after the cross-sell compensation change, or competing observability and SIEM vendors use the transition to target Cisco’s installed base.
  • Whether the referral incentives for preferred advisors and developers, due next spring, bring ISVs and advisors into Ecosystem Deal Registration without creating conflict with transacting partners.
