Hitachi Adaptive Solutions for CI – Product Brief

Cisco and Hitachi Adaptive Solutions for CI (Hitachi Adaptive Solutions) is converged infrastructure comprised of Cisco UCS Blade Servers, Cisco switches, VMware vSphere and Hitachi’s VSP enterprise storage systems. This solution, which uses Cisco servers and switches, replaced Hitachi’s Unified Compute Platform-CI which used Hitachi servers and either Cisco or Brocade switches.

An integrated, rack-level solution, Hitachi Adaptive Solutions is designed to simplify deployment of enterprise infrastructure by configuring complete systems to support specific use cases on hypervisor and container platforms or bare-metal servers. These use cases include private and hybrid cloud, database, big data analytics, data center consolidation, etc.

Software in Hitachi Adaptive Solutions includes VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS Manager and Hitachi UCP Advisor. Optional software includes Cisco Intersight, Cisco Data Center Network Manager and Hitachi connectors for VMware Site Recovery Manager and vRealize Orchestrator.

Configurations are based on Cisco Validated Designs. Orders are fulfilled and deployed by Hitachi or authorized channel partners. Hitachi provides end-to-end support (L0 – L3) for the Hitachi Vantara hardware components, Cisco UCS servers and Cisco networking components. OEM software is co-supported by that vendor.
