Classiq Releases Suite of Quantum Applications

Analyst Take: Classiq recently published a GitHub repository containing a suite of quantum computing applications, algorithms, functions, and tutorials built using the Classiq platform. The release of this suite is notable as it serves as a great starting place for developers to quickly get up and running with quantum computing.

Quantum computing is a highly complex area of technology, and one that can be daunting to even the brightest developers. Designing quantum circuits is difficult and becomes increasingly complicated as the number of qubits increases. In addition, expertise around specific quantum hardware and languages is typically needed for development across the wide range of quantum computing technology options emerging. Classiq provides a software development platform that simplifies the development of quantum applications and overcomes these problems.

Classiq’s approach is a software platform that provides a simplified way for developers to quickly create quantum circuits that can be deployed on any quantum hardware. With Classiq, developers can code a high-level functional model, and the platform will create an optimized quantum circuit that can be deployed across an array of supported quantum computing technologies. The key advantage of Classiq’s software is that it lowers the barrier of entry for developing quantum applications while providing future flexibility as the quantum landscape changes. This latest announcement of a public developer suite further drives the mission of removing complexity from quantum development. The new GitHub repository will serve as an excellent place for developers to learn about and get started with quantum computing and using Classiq’s technology to do so. The quantum computing industry is currently in a push toward quantum utility—essentially reliably utilizing quantum computers, at scale, to achieve results that cannot easily be achieved with classical methods. In other words, the industry is trying to move away from quantum computing as simply a science experiment and move toward a state where quantum computers actually do something useful. To achieve this move, however, it is crucial to reduce the complexity of quantum application development, and Classiq’s software platform does just that. In addition, the newly released application suite further reduces the friction of getting started with and learning about developing quantum applications.
