IBM Storage Protect for Cloud (formerly IBM Spectrum Protect Online Services) is a SaaS-delivered backup and recovery solution for data in cloud applications including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce. The solution is based on an OEM agreement with AvePoint.
The offering is delivered as a cloud-hosted software service. It is a component of the broader IBM data protection portfolio. This includes IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Protect Plus, and IBM Storage Defender, which offer the ability to protect on-premises and cloud-based physical, virtualized and containerized resources.
