Vodafone Ireland Migrates to the Cloud

Vodafone Ireland selected Amdocs to transition its infrastructure and application workloads to the cloud, enabling enhanced CX and rapid adoption of the latest 5G innovations. Under the agreement, Amdocs Customer Experience Suite (CES) will migrate Vodafone Ireland from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud to give the Irish mobile and broadband provider greater flexibility and capacity to support its future growth.

“Moving to the cloud is a key part of our strategy as we look to become even more dynamic, agile, and responsive to our customers’ needs,” says Mairead Cullen, chief information officer (CIO) at Vodafone Ireland, which operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of British telecommunications giant Vodafone Group. “We have a long-standing relationship with Amdocs, and we’re pleased to be collaborating with them on this important initiative.”

Amdocs applauded the move and said that by migrating its IT services infrastructure to the cloud, Vodafone Ireland ensures a foundational basis for achieving growth and enriching the experiences of customers.

Telefonica Germany Drives Enhanced Experience

When Telefonica Germany thought of providing its enterprise customers with an enhanced user experience, the Munich-based operator turned to Amdocs. As part of the agreement, Amdocs will deploy its cloud-native network optimization suite, enabling Telefonica Germany to maximize network performance and accessibility while also benefiting from greater flexibility, scalability, and automation. Moreover, Telefonica Germany and its enterprise customers will gain access to large volumes of network data in real time, ensuring data transparency and the rapid detection, analysis, and correction of issues.

The deal follows on the heels of an Amdocs announcement that it is integrating the MariaDB Enterprise Server into its network optimization suite. MariaDB’s enterprise open-source database provides the storage and analysis of network subscriber data for Telefonica Germany and other Amdocs customers.

“It’s vital for us that we provide our enterprise customers with a best-in-class experience, and this project supports that aim perfectly,” says Mallik Rao (Yelamate Mallikarjuna Rao), chief technology & information officer (CTIO) at Telefonica Germany. “This collaboration will enable us to capitalize on the benefits of the cloud and provide businesses with the quality of service and data transparency they expect and deserve. It was great to see Amdocs adopt our vision and enable us to implement it.”

Three UK Harnesses Data to Drive Personalized CX

British telecommunications and internet service provider Three UK is teaming up with Amdocs to transform its data capabilities, which will enable the Reading, England-based operator to provide its customers with a more personalized experience.

The deal, which also includes a multi-year managed services agreement, calls for Three UK to leverage the Amdocs logical data model (aLDM) to build a scalable, open, and modular data platform, allowing it to collect, organize, and store data for efficient consumption by all users and for generating value from data quickly and easily. By migrating to a modern, cloud-based data architecture, Three UK will benefit from actionable, near real-time data insights, giving it the ability to serve customers contextual, timely recommendations while driving multiple other business use cases that require integrated and reliable data.

“We are pleased to be expanding and strengthening our relationship with Amdocs as we look to harness the power of data for the benefit of our customers,” says Belinda Finch, chief information officer at Three UK.

Amdocs is creating a data-quality framework that captures, reports, and improves data-quality metrics. The creation of a common, unified data model and the structuring of data in a subject-oriented, integrated manner will provide the foundation for self-service business intelligence initiatives, whereby users can access, explore, and utilize data to drive operational and CX improvements.

Bank Hapoalim Collaboration Provides Personalized Banking Experience

Bank Hapoalim, one of Israel’s largest financial services institutions, has completed the first stage of a project with Amdocs to build a differentiated, personalized banking experience for the bank’s customers. Using Amdocs Catalog Management software, Bank Hapoalim will be able to rapidly create and deploy customer-centric offers, products, and services with improved time-to-market agility. Tools that enable new ways of working are being introduced, aimed at breaking down silos to foster greater innovation and collaboration between teams and business units.

Headquartered in Tel-Aviv, Bank Hapoalim has also upgraded to a 360-degree customer view capability to provide product bundles that meet individual needs. “We are committed to providing our customers with personalized financial products and services that reflect their lifestyle and are delivered at speed,” says Magen Margalit at Bank Hapoalim. “Our project with Amdocs enables this and plays a key role in our digital transformation as we seek to be at the forefront of financial services innovation.”

Amdocs, through its financial services offering, has worked with banks to help them embrace new ways of working and to create next-generation banking experiences for their customers. Banks that have worked with Amdocs include ABN Amro, TD Bank, ANZ, Westpac, and Capital One.
