Salesforce Safety Cloud Launches, Designed to Streamline COVID Testing and Status Reporting

Analyst Take: As we enter year three of the pandemic, I think we can all agree on one thing, we are ready to get back to normal. According to an employee survey from Salesforce, 77% of employees want to meet in-person with their teams. And while hybrid work is without question here to stay, many employees miss the connection and comradery that comes with in-person interactions. There’s no doubt that social distancing, working from home, and limiting contact with people outside of your small social circle has impacted us all. But for businesses and communities that are looking to get back together, the question remains: how do you it safely?

Enter Salesforce Safety Cloud. This new health and safety platform streamlines testing, reporting, and entry protocols and integrations with COVID-19 testing partners including CVS Health, eMed, Cue Health, and ixlayer, making the testing and reporting experience easier than ever. Salesforce Safety Cloud also integrates with SMART Health Cards and EU Digital Covid Certificates, making it easier for employees to share vaccination status or test results. As someone who has been exceptionally careful the past few years, both from a personal standpoint and as a business leader, as well as from the standpoint of someone who has travelled internationally and had to mess with vaccination cards, test results, and the like, this is very welcome news.

Other Salesforce Safety Cloud benefits include:

  • Better visibility across the organization. With test results and health status information in one location, organizations can easily track for staffing needs to ensure shifts are filled.
  • Easy to understand safety protocols. COVID-19 regulations and guidelines are constantly changing across different jurisdictions, which can be challenging for businesses to stay on top of. With Salesforce Safety Cloud, businesses can easily communicate protocols for gatherings based on local health regulations. This includes sending personalized emails about testing requirements, if necessary.
  • Automate entry. With Dreampass, organizations can easily automate employee entry. A secure, multifactor pass can be issued when a negative test result hits the system.

Salesforce Safety Cloud is the Way Forward

While we are all eager to return to some semblance of normalcy, it’s safe to assume that COVID-19 will be around for a while. Not only do organizations want to ensure a safe workplace, employees are also very much interested in knowing what safety precautions their employers are taking and want their fears about returning to in person work, in a safe place, assuaged. Salesforce Safety Cloud and its numerous features will make it easy for businesses to ensure employees are healthy and can safely return to work without the fear of being the next super spreader.
