Cured Raises $10M Series A; Launches Next Generation Healthcare Digital Marketing & CRM Solutions

BOULDER, CO, September 15, 2021 — Cured, a healthcare digital marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) platform, today announced it has closed an oversubscribed $10 million Series A funding round. The round was led by DNA Capital and included participation from new investors CU Healthcare Innovation Fund and UCHealth. Existing investors High AlphaWaterline VenturesMatchstick Ventures, and Headwater Ventures also participated. As a part of the round, Partha Mishra, Partner at DNA Capital and experienced healthcare executive, will join Cured’s Board of Directors.

“Today’s healthcare organizations have substantial opportunity to differentiate themselves by providing consumers with curated experiences that individuals and their families have become accustomed to with their favorite retail, consumer goods, or even financial service brands,” said Andrew Sawyer, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cured. “The reality is, the existing digital marketing & CRM platforms are not well suited to meet the unique needs of healthcare. The industry has particular security, compliance, and data needs. Moreover, patient and member experiences in healthcare are highly contextual. The ability to educate and provide digital interactions specific to an individual’s healthcare needs throughout the patient or member journey can markedly improve engagement and loyalty.”

Since launching in May 2018, Cured has partnered with leading health systems, healthcare services, and digital health organizations to transform their growth and experience strategies through technology. To date, Cured’s customers have sent over 35 million interactions through the company’s solutions. Such interactions focus on driving consumers to preventative services, making individuals aware of convenient healthcare options applicable to their needs, and providing guidance along specific care journeys to improve adherence and engagement.

“Healthcare organizations have access to more customer data than arguably any other industry. However, their ability to mobilize and use this data to create meaningful experiences for their customers lags behind most of their industry peers,” stated Ashmer Aslam, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Cured. “Our platform aims to solve that problem by making this data actionable. We achieve this by applying analytics and machine learning that is contextually aware of the target audience; and, in turn, we can apply predictions to create meaningful audience segmentation to maximize personalization, precision, and action.”

In conjunction with the funding, the company launched Curations, a catalog of over 70+ prebuilt patient and customer journey campaigns to aid healthcare organizations in attracting, engaging, and retaining healthcare consumers. Curations include audience and segmentation configuration, content and creative templates, and automation available out of the box to support the strategies that matter most to leading healthcare organizations.

“We at DNA Capital are delighted to partner with Cured as they are poised to scale their healthcare native, enterprise-grade digital marketing and CRM solutions to transform how healthcare organizations build lasting relationships with their customers,” said Mishra. “We are equally excited to back the top-notch founding team — a rare blend of talent with a deep understanding of health systems strategy, experience in architecting scalable SaaS solutions, and proven ability to cultivate trusted relationships with enterprise customers.”

Cured will use the funding to accelerate the advancement of its Digital Marketing and Insights platform. Further, the funding will support the continued growth of its team of healthcare and customer experience experts across its locations in Boulder, Chicago, and Indianapolis. The team is actively hiring talent in software engineering, business development, and customer delivery. For more information on hiring and openings, visit: cured.health/about#join-us
