These features help enterprises keep an eye on a growing number of agents while staying disciplined across their environments.

Bringing Workflows Into Word, Outlook, and Teams

ServiceNow’s AI Experience and Now Assist will plug into Microsoft Agent 365 to link personal productivity with enterprise workflows. Users can take files, emails, and chats inside Microsoft 365 and attach them directly to ServiceNow workflows. AI teammates inside Word, Outlook, and Teams can summarize material, handle tasks, and kick off workflows securely.

Each AI teammate works through enterprise identity, permissions, and audit controls to keep governance consistent. By meeting people in the apps they already use, the integration cuts down on tool switching. This fits with ServiceNow’s long-running approach of supporting workflows inside Microsoft tools, including Teams.

Cross-Platform Automation for Developers Using GitHub MCP

ServiceNow Build Agent now pairs with GitHub’s Model Context Protocol Server to reach issues, pull requests, and discussions while automating repeatable development tasks. Developers can use GitHub Copilot alongside Build Agent’s workflow automation to speed up code generation and process execution. The setup limits context switching by letting workflows and dev tasks happen in the same place. These features keep enterprise-grade governance intact while boosting development speed and reducing friction across platforms. This matches both companies’ focus on orchestration and secure automation that spans business and development workflows.

Positioning Orchestration and Governance as the Enterprise Control Layer

Both companies see orchestration and governance – not just individual features – as the main value of their work together. Leaders at ServiceNow stressed that the company sees itself as a system of orchestration, not a replacement for productivity tools. The partnership builds on that idea by bringing ServiceNow’s workflow intelligence into Microsoft’s widely used productivity apps.
