ZL Technologies Unified Archive (ZL UA) is an integrated set of software modules, designed for the large enterprise, for archiving, compliance eDiscovery, records management, file analysis, and analytics.
ZL UA uses a single code base, single instance storage, and a single, scalable repository. It uses a grid computing architecture with each server capable of all processing tasks. Deployments can be linearly scaled.
ZL UA ingests both structured and unstructured data from a wide variety of sources, including MS-Exchange and SharePoint; IBM Notes and Domino; Google Mail; social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter; file systems, instant messages and SMS; and PST and NSF files.
ZL UA supports many unstructured data types such as images, video, audio, text, and PDF. Unstructured data support also includes OCR conversions and files from Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions and other archiving systems like Enterprise Vault.
Structured database support includes MS SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, and Teradata.
Stubbing permits files to be migrated to less expensive storage, on-premises or in the cloud, without affecting user access.
On-going legal hold can be placed on a file and subsequently applied to all newly-created versions of that document.
“Crawling” collects documents from designated file paths at user-specified frequencies. Crawled file content is stored for search and management.
