An evaluation of USB-based webcams for online meetings and streaming. For this evaluation, The Futurum Group performed an end-user assessment of six USB-based webcams. Futurum collected a group of webcams, both from traditional vendors in the collaboration industry and new market entrants with top-rated models. To assess these devices, the Futurum Intelligence created multiple scenarios that a typical office or home office would routinely face. Image quality was tested in both normal and low light conditions, microphone capture quality was tested, and camera control software was evaluated. Cameras tested in this evaluation are: Anker PowerConf C200, Cisco Webex Desk Camera 4K, Elgato Facecam, Logitech Brio, Poly P5 and Razer Kiyo Pro
An in-depth workflow evaluation of recently introduced touch-enabled desktop collaboration displays. For this evaluation, The Futurum Group performed an end-user workflow assessment of desktop touch-enabled collaboration displays. Futurum noted an increased interest in flexible, touch-enabled, collaboration displays that connect users with meeting platforms either natively or through laptop connectivity. With many new offerings introduced earlier this year, the natural next step was to test these solutions to better understand the value and experiences that make these devices noteworthy. To understand how workstations are changing, Futurum Intelligence collected a group of desktop touch-enabled collaboration displays featuring cameras, speakers, microphone arrays, and in some cases, the processing for online meetings. To assess these devices, the Futurum Intelligence testing lab created a script that simulates the daily workflow of office-based shared and personal applications. In addition to in-office workflow tests, the team used each unit as a companion device in remote work environments. Given that this is a public evaluation, Futurum did not complete a ranked score, but did compare the offerings, value propositions, and workflow experiences. Devices Tested: Cisco Webex Desk Pro, DTEN ME Pro, Google Series One Desk 27, Jupiter Pana 34, Newline Interactive Flex
