NetApp OnCommand Management Software is a collection of storage resource and system management software. A number of different management tools are included in the OnCommand Management software portfolio. Some of the OnCommand managers are focused on managing the NetApp storage while others such as Insight and Balance provide the more general storage resource management functionality.
OnCommand solutions can manage NetApp and multi-vendor storage across multiple sites. Installations will deploy the OnCommand solutions depending on the specific needs.
