Cohesity Data Cloud – Product Brief

The Cohesity Data Cloud is a data management solution that provides a number of Cohesity data management services under a unified management platform, Helios. The Data Cloud looks to solve data fragmentation issues while providing a single interface for data management services and operations across multiple locations including data centers, public clouds, and edge devices. The solution is available as self-managed software as well as a SaaS solution.

Services within the Data Cloud umbrella include DataProtect, FortKnox, DataHawk, SmartFiles, and SiteContinuity. Between the services, the Cohesity Data Cloud provides a wide range of functionality covering data protection, ransomware recovery, security, file and object storage, data classification, data governance, and business continuity.

Cohesity utilizes the Cohesity DataPlatform as an underlying technology for indexing data across multiple sources. Cohesity DataPlatform is a distributed file system that functions as a consolidation point for a variety of data storage types as well as an integrated backup solution – all managed through a single global user interface.
